Friday Five.

One. Accomplished a bucket list item. Shot a pistol at a gun range today.

Two. Sad our Florida visit is so close to being over.

Three. Hate it when other people's hearts are broken! Wish I could ease their pain.

Four. Working on mustering up the courage to face the cold. From 80’s back to single digits.

Five. Thankful for such good people in my life!

Do domething fun this weekend!

An IPad, JuneBug and Cocoa Beach

So, three years ago, we went to Cocoa Beach and stayed in a condo for a month. The first week there, I was at the pool sunning and a lady swam to,the edge and asked me if that was an ipad I was using. From that moment, it was an everlasting friendship. June (aka JuneBug) and I connected. We talked and talked about the ipad and how we loved it. We exchanged apps, game ideas and knowledge.

The following year, while in Orlando we visited her once again. Today, we just returned from another three day visit.

She staying in a different condo this year. It's awesome.

How we love the beach!

June wouldn't let me take her picture. But, she is the most generous, gracious, funloving, giving person. She loves to entertain, laugh, talk and truly enjoys people. She's had some really tough roads to travel and despite her hardships, she still welcomes people into her world so generously.

She introduced me to an awesome cocktail. A cosmo noir. Oh my!

Lynne, we must make these! Delicious.

I love these chairs in the condo and this couch was heaven!

So, another visit, more ipad exchange, and good times. Til next time, I love you Junebug!

WOB and Drew

WOB World of Beer.

This is a favorite spot of Drew's. WOB has over 1500 varieties of microbrews from all over the world. Drew has an app on his phone which tracks the beers he has tasted/drank and it also helps him select the ones yet to select. He is a plaqueholder.

After sampling so many beers (sorry forgot to get the number), you earn a plaque for the wall. Drew currently has 284 beers recorded. Some great, some not so good.

He was recently in Seattle on a business trip and visited the World of Beer there. He sampled only beers from the Washington and Oregon region. He would tell you they were great.

Sarah and Drew with Aunt Barbie

As for myself, beer---not so much. I enjoyed a great glass (or two) of Pinot Grigio. Thanks. Drew!

We had some good laughs and it was a good stop indeed. Thanks for sharing your WOB with us Drew!

Daytona 500

My brother Mike received comp tickets to the GM Hospitality Suite for the Daytona 500. How sweet is that!

My husband, niece, nephew and brother were the lucky ones to spend the day at the race!

They had to be at that track at 6 a.m. for their lineup of events.

Agenda

Richard, Sarahbelle, Mike and Drew ready to go!

4:30 a.m.

First up was the pace car ride around the track. Sarah and Drew in a Camaro and Richard and Mike in a Chevy truck.

Pace car Ride 140 mph around track

Photo op on the track before the race.

Track Fun!

Here's the four of them getting ready to drive around the track. YES, they drove a Chevy truck around the track with a driver standing in the back. Sarah was the lucky one that they elected to drive.

The drivers randomly hopped in the back after they were introduced to the crowd.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr.. #17

Here they are making their way around the track.

Drivers hanging out as Sarah nervously awaits her turn to put the pedal to the metal.

After the ride around the track, they exited their truck and were transported to their seats. Thirty eight laps and RAIN. Tornado warnings! They headed back to the car to wait out the rain. It's now 8:30 p.m. And the race is starting up again...maybe!

What a great experience they had. I'm sure there will be more pictures but this was the first round I was able to snatch.
